When students begin the digital learning experience, they will immediately begin the inspection process. They are guided step-by-step through the backhoe inspection, receiving prompts at the bottom of the screen for each step of the inspection. Colored highlights will appear when they select the appropriate area for inspection.

• It is not possible to proceed from the current step until that step is completed. Students will receive immediate feedback at each step, and a summary at the end of the completed inspection.

• Students can mute various sounds by using the “Settings” button at the bottom left of the screen.

• For some aspects of the inspection, students will need to move around the vehicle and/or zoom in on different parts to see and select different components. The mouse and “Zoom” button will allow this movement.

• Students can select the “Tasks” or “Checklist” lists from the bottom lefthand screen, to see what tasks have been, and need to be, inspected.

• All students will receive a feedback list at the end of the completed inspection. They will learn what they inspected correctly, and what, if any, errors they made at each step.
